We offer support for other professionals working with bereaved children and young people.
We believe that some of the best support for grieving children and young people comes from those who are already working with them. Of course, there is a time and place for direct support from the experienced team here at Guy’s Gift, but you may well be interacting with grieving children on a day to day basis in your role, and we’re here to support you with that.
Are you a healthcare professional who works with bereaved children and young people?
Would you benefit from some advice and guidance from the Bereavement Support and Counselling team at Guy’s Gift?
In December 2024, we will be launching our new Online Healthcare Professional Drop-in Sessions. These sessions have been established following the success our Education-focused Drop-in Sessions we currently offer to both primary and secondary schools.
The online drop in sessions are offered free of charge, and offer:
Advice and guidance on specific cases you are working with
Resource recommendations – i.e. books, activities, training courses
Focus on themes – i.e. anticipatory grief, sudden death, traumatic bereavement
Children’s understanding of death – developmental ages and stages
Peer networking and support
Self-care when working in bereavement
Opportunities for feedback
